Over 240 hours of precise work
The Hinode is made almost entirely by hand. The preparation and manufacture alone take around 240 hours of work, and the subsequent on-site installation takes roughly 10 days. Every detail is the result of the craftsmanship and patience of our master builders.
A roof like a royal crown
The Hinode's roof is covered with the oldest type of pantile, made from one of the rarest clay deposits in Europe. The 410 × 410 cm area is made up of 2,850 individual pieces, each of which has to be set precisely into custom battening. It is one of the smallest roof tiles in the world, and the deposit's reserves are estimated to last only another 10 to 15 years.
A beautifully shaped roof truss with a gilded soffit
Beneath the roof lies a precisely shaped truss with a gilded soffit that gives the gazebo a stately, luxurious character. The wood is sanded three times to a final smoothness, so every joint and every line looks perfectly clean.
Hand-forged elements and a silk lantern
Hand-forged metal elements match the roof structure perfectly and underline the gazebo's craftsmanship. The interior is completed by a silk lantern that lights up a pleasant atmosphere in the evening under the Hinode gazebo.
