The Basic Class structure holds its shape throughout its entire lifespan. Unlike ordinary sawn timber, it does not crack or warp, so even after years it looks just as straight and clean as on the day it was installed.
Maintenance-free and always like new
Being maintenance-free is another strong point of the Basic Class range. Aluminium does not need painting or varnishing — an occasional rinse with water is all it takes. No annual touch-ups with a brush and no flaking coatings, just a clean look for years to come.
A polycarbonate roof for sun and rain alike
The roof is made from quality 16 mm polycarbonate in a clear or opal finish. It lets in pleasant daylight while protecting the terrace from rain and harsh sun, so you can sit beneath the pergola in any weather.

A downpipe and chimney are no obstacle
Downpipes and chimneys are common obstacles when installing a pergola. The usual solution — cutting an opening in the polycarbonate and threading the downpipe through it — is neither attractive nor functional in the long run, because over time water leaks in at the point of the cut and spoils the overall look.
Our own system without disturbing the roof
Polycarbonate sheets on a pergola roof should never be joined or drilled, so that they do not leak. That is why we have our own refined system that lets us work around a downpipe or chimney without disturbing the roof covering. The polycarbonate stays intact, the pergola does not leak and it still looks clean years later.
